OAT BREAKFAST BARS

Ingredients

150g Butter (lightly salted)
70g Sugar (granulated/caster/brown)
50ml/50g Milk
20g Cocoa powder
20g Peanut butter
130ml/130g Condensed milk
250g Porridge oats
50g Self raising flour
30g Dark chocolate (chopped)

Method

Preheat oven to 170°C. Grease 20/25cm square cake tin.

Put the butter, sugar, milk, cocoa, peanut butter and condensed milk in a bowl.

Microwave for one minute (can also be heated in a saucepan).

Crumble the oats with your hands as you add them to the bowl.

Add flour and stir.

Add chopped chocolate and mix lightly.

Pour into tin and bake for 25 minutes.

Allow to cool completely before cutting into eight slices.
